Ceschi — Galapagos For The Fish

Текст песни с аккордами

    	    	Вступление

This absolutely fantastic and amazingly dark folk punk tune didn't have tabs, so I decided to muster up all of
my novice guitar-strumming skills and give it a go. (-: It doesn't have the full solos, but hopefully this
makes for an imminently playable beginner version that you're happy to share with others. Enjoy!

Standard tuning, no capo. Ceschi uses frequent tempo changes, but I think this works in regular triplets.

[Intro]
G Am C C
G Am C C

[Verse]
Am Bm7 C7 G C
All the seagulls pecking at your face
    Am Bm7 C7 G C
Are bright white angels taking you away
    Am Bm7 C7 G C
And like the bread you once tossed them to taste
       Am Bm7 C7 G C
You've crumbled into tiny shapes today

[Interlude 1]

C D G D
C D G C

[Chorus 1]
C G Em C
Hope they fly to Galapagos
C G Em C
And drop your remains in paradise
C G Em C
Somewhere warmer than Connecticut
C G Em C
Somewhere where the gas is half the price

[Interlude 2]
G C G Em

C G
C G
Am Em
C G

[Bridge 1]
               Am Em
I've been struggling to recall
          C G
What your face looked like before
             Am Em
You dove headfirst into Lighthouse Beach
         C G
With the suit and tie still on
           Am Em
Before the bubbles filled your chest
       C G
Strangling those lungs asleep
            Am Em
By wrapping them in plankton blankets
         C Em
'Til the saltwater turned sweet
  C G Am Em
I want to remember you as you were
   C G Am Em
No holes in cheeks from crustaceans piercing through them
  C G Am Em
I liked it when your brain was still in your skull and
     C G Am
Your skin wasn't cold and blue as the ocean

[Interlude 3]
G Am C C
G Am C C
Em Am C D
Am G D D

[Chorus 2]
C G Em C
Hope they fly to Antarctica
C G Em C
And drop your remains in blocks of ice
C G Em C
Somewhere colder than Connecticut
C G Em C
Somewhere where the gas is half the price

[Bridge 2]
C Am Em
When you drifted onto shore
   C G
We thought we'd seen a ghost
   Am Em
Or some sort of bloated seal
       C G
Draped in a seaweed coat
           Am Em
But as the pelicans took chunks from
     C G
Your eye sockets we prayed
            Am Em
Out loud in hopes that Limbo existed
   C Em
If only for today
  C G Am Em
I want to remember you as you were
    C G Am Em
Not some debris floating along the seawall
    C G Am Em
Not motionless from across the rocky shore
  C G Am
I want you back, breathing and selfish as ever
