Вступление This is a Tom Waits song, beautifully covered by Cosmo Sheldrake on his YouTube channel: I love this version, although mind that Cosmo changed the chords, words, and melody up quite a bit. He also tuned his guitar not quite half a step down if you want to play along. All the chords are relative to the half step down, so in reality the song is in Bbm. He does some fun stuff with the bass notes, I would recommend watching the video for it. Furthermore, he plays some of his F#7 chords as follows: F#7: x1x320 [Verse 1] Bm G Bm G The broken glass and the rusty nails D A D F#7 Down where the wild violets grow Bm G Bm G Say goodbye to the railroad and the mad dogs of summer D F# Bm And everything that I used to know [Chorus 1] G Bm Some people do it for diamonds G Bm Some people do it for gold G Bm Gounded, but you just keep on climbin' G F# And sleep by the side of the roa - oad Bm Bm/A# Bm/A Em There's a hole in the ladder, a fence we can climb Em Bm Em/G F#7 Mad as a hatter, you're thin as a dime Bm Bm/A# Bm/A Em Go out to the meadow, the hills are a-green Em Bm F# Bm Sing me a rainbow, steal me a dream [Verse 2] Bm G Bm G Small time Napoleons shattered his knees D A D F#7 But he stays in the saddle for Rose Bm G Bm G And all his disciples, they shave in the gutter D F# Bm And they gather what's left of his clothes [Chorus 2] G Bm Some people do it for diamonds G Bm Some people do it for gold G Bm Gounded, but you just keep on climbin' G F# And sleep by the side of the roa - oad Bm Bm/A# Bm/A Em There's a hole in the ladder, a fence we can climb Em Bm Em/G F#7 Mad as a hatter, you're thin as a dime Bm Bm/A# Bm/A Em Go out to the meadow, the hills are a-green Em Bm F# Bm Sing me a rainbow, steal me a dream
